According to the japanese msn website, electronics heavyweights Fujitsu and NEC have announced, that they will join the growing club of Tizen Phone manufacturers and plan to release their first hardware in 2014.
Both companies have not been a player in the smartphone business outside of Asia so far, and also their Tizen Phones are expected to be released in Japan only. Depending on the success a further expansion is possible.
Fujitsu and NEC have both joined the Tizen Associations Board of Directors together with Samsung, Intel, NTT DoCoMo, Huawei, Panasonic, Vodafone, Orange, Sprint, SK Telecom and KT. An impressive list that might grow even more as the Operating System gets ready for launch in Q3/2013.
